I focus my practice in creditors' rights, bankruptcy, distressed sale transactions, out of court restructuring and liquidation and commercial transactions.

How long have you been practicing?
Eleven years.

How long have you been in Indy?
I’ve lived in Central Indiana since 2003. I was born near Detroit, Michigan.

What do you value most about the practice of law?
I love helping clients find practical solutions.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
Spending time with my husband and kids, reading, listening to true crime podcasts, planning vacations and drinking Starbucks while doing any of the other foregoing activities.

What are some of your goals for the section this year? What are you most excited about for the section?
I would like to have more in-person networking opportunities.

What’s one piece of advice you’ve learned from your years of experience in the field?
Try to find humor where possible. Being reasonable and responsive can go a long way.

Most Mexican restaurants. Really any restaurant with a good margarita and chips.

Anything else section members should know about you?
My practice has given me the opportunity to learn about some unusual issues, including prison labor program regulation. I also know more about the Uniform Commercial Code than a person should.
