Today...

Courts are faced with repercussions from Indiana's recent decision to recognize same-sex marriages. Most recently, the 7th Circuit ordered Indiana to recognize the validity of one couple's marriage in an emergency motion to lift the stay. The stay was put in place by district Judge Young. You can find more about this case here.

50 Years Ago Today...

On July 2, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This historic bill eliminated discrimination in the workplace based on race along with sex. Read more about the events that led to the creation of this bill here.
