Where do you work?
I'm a partner at Dinsmore & Stohl LLP.

How long have you practiced law?
I've been practicing for almost nine years.

Describe yourself in three words.
Friendly, diligent and organized.

What was your favorite non-legal job?
My favorite non-legal job was probably either my high school job as a lifeguard and swim instructor or the summer I spent as a student teacher for an English class in Madrid. The other people I worked with and the kids made both of those experiences lots of fun.

Do you prefer to work from home or go to the office?
I usually prefer to go into the office, but I do love the flexibility of being more comfortable working remotely now. My husband and I have been able to take advantage of remote work capabilities to spend more time with family out of state.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
There are so many places I would go back to visit or stay in a heartbeat. I studied abroad in Barcelona and would love to go any time, but Croatia, Australia and New Zealand are probably at the top of my list of new destinations right now!

What’s your favorite way to unwind?
I definitely enjoy a mindless Netflix binge with a glass of wine, but I think a good heated yoga class would probably be my favorite, when I can get to it! I also like to read and do crossword puzzles.

Who inspires you?
There are so many people out there that inspire me in different ways, but in my current season of life, other parents and caretakers are inspiring me right now, especially through COVID. It takes a lot some days to keep the trains on the tracks and I love hearing about ways others are dealing with daily challenges, even if it is messy!

What has been the highlight of 2022 for you?
It is obviously still pretty early in 2022, but my son turned one in January, and being able to watch his personality grow and celebrate all sorts of firsts with him (like his birthday and being at the beach) have absolutely been highlights of this year.

What’s the last book you read?
I’ve been on a bit of re-reading kick recently, and I think the last one I finished was The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough.

Salty or sweet?
Sweet.

What’s your favorite thing about the IndyBar?
The IndyBar is a great community, and I love the opportunities it has given me to interact with other members from law students through the most seasoned practitioners.
