White House Releases Memo Requiring Workplace Flexibility for Federal Agencies

The White House released a memorandum that provides more workplace flexibility for federal employees. The memorandum, released June 23, requires federal agencies to allow more flexibility for employees who need to take time off for reasons such as caring for a sick family member or adopting a child. It also requires those agencies to provide break times and private space for nursing mothers.

President Obama announced the memorandum during his remarks at the White House Summit on Working Families.
