ICYMI: Breakfast with the Bar: Careers in Environmental Law

On the morning of Jan. 20, the IndyBar Law Student Division hosted their signature Breakfast with the Bar event in the First Floor Student Lounge at the McKinney School of Law. Attorneys in attendance shared their experience and advice with the more than 20 students in attendance. Participating attorneys included Julian Harrell of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, Andrea Townsend of Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, Debi Dobbins of Heritage Consulting and Mindy Westrick of the Indiana Energy Association. Harrell and Townsend both stressed the importance of networking and practical experiences to help students narrow down their field of interest. Dobbins discussed the diverse field of environmental law and the perspective of a non-traditional law student. Students who attended this stimulating discussion were encouraged to stay in contact with the attorneys in attendance.
