As bankruptcy and other insolvency practitioners continue to anticipate an uptick in financial distress, this article by John Waller discusses how credit unions and smaller banks could start feeling pressure as early as next year. Interestingly, this article notes that loan performance has never been stronger and cautions that lenders need to be careful of becoming “too loose” with their credit terms as they generate new loans to get liquidity off their books.
