IDEM Accepting Nominations for Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence - Environmental Law News

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (“IDEM”) is accepting nominations for the 2018 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence. The state’s most prestigious environmental rewards are given to the most innovative, sustainable and exemplary environmental projects. To be eligible, a voluntary program or project must be located in Indiana and completed in 2016 or 2017. One award will be given in each of the following categories:  

  • Energy/Renewable Resources;
  • Greening the Government;
  • Land Use/Conservation;
  • Environmental Education and Outreach;
  • Pollution Prevention;
  • Recycling/Reuse;
  • Five-year Continuous Improvement


If you have a client that you would like to nominate for an award, nomination instructions can be found here.  Nominations must be received by IDEM no later than 5 p.m. on May 7, 2018.
