Jury Awards $3.7M to Former UMD Women's Hockey Coach

Former University of Minnesota Duluth Women’s Hockey Coach Shannon Miller was awarded $3.7M by a jury. The jury found that UMD discriminated against Miller on the basis of her sex and retaliated against her for making Title IX complaints that pointed to disparities between UMD’s men’s and women’s hockey programs.
