IRS Improves Services to Taxpayers with Digital Authorizations and Launch of New Tax Pro Account - Taxation News

The IRS has made available a new online tool called “Tax Pro Account,” which will help streamline the submission of powers of attorney (POA) for tax practitioners and their clients. The new system is intended to reduce the wait time tax practitioners experience when gaining authorization to represent their clients. The IRS has plans to add new online features to Tax Pro Account in the future and has stated that they intend Tax Pro Account to be the first step to a more fully integrated digital tax system.
