Cultural Competency is Integral to Quality Care

Cultural competence is not only important in the workplace, in schools and in our communities, but it is integral to providing quality health care to patients. While this article focuses on culturally responsive care in nursing homes, the concepts discussed therein are equally applicable to all patient settings.
