Having excellent communication skills is critical in the paralegal profession. Much of a paralegal’s day is spent communicating in writing or verbally. A paralegal’s day is filled with drafting motions, writing summaries of depositions, discussing the project status with an attorney, corresponding by email, telephone calls to clients and vendors, taking notes or writing memos – the list is endless. It is an inherent part of your job, and that is why it is always listed in the requirements of all paralegal job postings.
