Family Law Tip of the Week: If Your Client Fires You...

If your client fires you, even right before a hearing, you DO NOT need to wait ten days to withdraw. Have the client email their instruction to withdraw from their case and attach it to your motion. It's probably not a bad idea to send a CYA letter to wrap up your representation, but that can be done after you withdraw (or simultaneously) if a court date is looming.
