The Struggle is Real...and Always Has Been

Folks, I can’t lie: I struggle. Between the sunshine, the full moon, the clients, sometimes the opposing counsel and the seemingly never-ending cry of the calendar and the inbox, I have contemplated abandoning this life and opening a barbeque restaurant. Maybe, a tiny-house eco-resort (shameless plug for Warner’s Hidden Corner in Livermore, Colorado, ‘cause lives should be balanced!) In my procrastination, I’m browsing the internet in search of distraction.  

I stumbled onto this article from last week entitled, The Founding Fathers as Lawyers. It is a quick read, but enjoyable. As a Poli-Sci/American Studies major, I know that at one point I knew some of it, but I had forgotten how many personal and professional failures a lot of them suffered. I had definitely forgotten how many of them had two or three other jobs, with lots of balls in the air at a time. Times have definitely changed, some things stay the same though and, for me, that’s oddly comforting.
