While particularly relevant to job seekers corresponding with recruiters, the lessons from this article can still apply to general email/phone etiquette. Scheduling over email can truly be a nightmare with a lawyer’s calendar, but this article provides templates on how to respond. Even if you have a completely open schedule, providing specific times from the outset can assist in getting the ball rolling rather than bouncing emails back and forth. Another method many attorneys prefer is to make a phone call in order to overcome the dreaded game of tag. I know, scary but definitely worth a shot.
