April 14: Selecting and Working with Expert Witnesses, Marva Deskins Hamilton, Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, shares the following practice pointer on expert witnesses: 

“The admissibility and effectiveness of your expert’s testimony can make or break the lawsuit. Know your jurisdiction and the respective rules/law that apply to expert witness testimony. Indiana courts have held that Daubert is helpful but not controlling. As a result, Indiana courts tend to be more permissive with respect to admitting expert testimony.”
