Sam Laurin of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP shared this practice pointer on understanding personal jurisdiction, venue and forum non conveniens at the February 11: Am I in the Right Court? Venue and Personal Jursidiction CLE program.

“If you only read one case to understand personal jurisdiction it is Boyer  v. Smith, 42 N.E.3d 505 (Ind. 2015). 

If you can only read one case to understand venue it is R&D Transport Inc. v. AH, 859 N.E.2d 332, 336 (Ind. 2006).

If you can only read one to understand forum non conveniens it is Anyango v Rolls-Royce Corporation, 971 N.E.2d 654 (Ind. 2012).”
