U.S. immigration policy has been one of the most widely discussed issues in our country, especially in recent years. While the way we handle illegal immigration is open to many different opinions and approaches, the U.S. has many established laws governing legal immigration for permanent and temporary/seasonal jobs, school and other reasons. This article describes the requirements for the well known, but limited, H-1B Visa, as well as other options that may address the needs of U.S. companies, universities and nonprofit organizations for foreign personnel.
