The Supreme Court's ruling in Baker Botts v. Asarco will make it harder for law firms to collect certain types of fees in bankruptcy cases. The Court ruled 6-3 that Section 330 of the Bankruptcy Code does not permit a bankruptcy court to award attorney's fees for work performed in defending a fee application in court. Read more here.
