Tell us about your legal career and passion in the legal field.
I am a partner at Kroger Gardis & Regas LLP. I handle high exposure civil litigation and appeals before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. I handle complex civil litigation involving insurance coverage, employment and civil rights claims, professional liability disputes, construction defects, and business litigation.  Additionally, I have extensive appellate experience having served as primary or amicus curiae counsel in over 180 appeals in Indiana and other jurisdictions on important issues affecting insurance, tort, business, and constitutional issues. For many years, I have been included in the list of Indiana Super Lawyers (since 1993), Litigation Counsel of America (since 2011), Best Lawyers in America (since 2013), and America’s Top 100 Bet-The-Company Litigators (since 2020).

What is your involvement with IndyBar?
I joined IndyBar as it is an important resource and played an important role in my development as an attorney. I have been active in leadership of several sections including Litigation (including Chair, 2009-2010) and Appellate Practice (including Chair (twice), 2014 and 2024). Since 2010, I have served on the Indiana Appellate Institute (Co-Director, 2017-present). Over the years, I have spoken at several IndyBar CLE programs for the Litigation Section, Appellate Practice Section, and the Indy Bench Bar Conference. 

What is a recent personal achievement of yours?
2024 IndyBar President’s Award For Service To The Association (accepting the award on behalf of the Indiana Appellate Institute).

What are you involved with outside of your legal practice?
I served on the Advisory Board of Governors of the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club (1996-2006) and Club President (2001-2004); Hamilton Proper Community Association (Board of Directors, 2009-2011; President, 2009-2011) ; Lawyers Club of Indianapolis (Secretary, 2005-2023; Vice-President, 2023; President, 2024); and The Columbia Club (General Counsel, 2021-present).
