The past few months have been filled with displays of free speech by professional athletes, including NFL players. From Twitter to t-shirts, recent events have only stoked the fire to take their message onto the field, it seems.

You can read about some of the examples of players' public displays so far in December here and here.

So far, the NFL is not taking an official stance on any of these statements and has elected not to hinder the exercise of free speech by its players. They only ask that players use this right "in a responsible manner."
