What is your practice area and passion in the legal field?
I am a litigator and primarily focus on white collar and commercial matters. Before returning to private practice earlier this year, I was an Assistant United States Attorney, so I have specialized experience with litigation in the federal courts.
What is your involvement with IndyBar?
I initially got involved with IndyBar by joining the Government Practice section. I have served on that section’s executive committee, as an at-large member of the Association’s Board, and now as the Treasurer for the Association. I have found that the more involved with IndyBar I became, the happier and more satisfied I felt as a lawyer.
What is something you're recently proud of?
In January of this year, I returned to private practice at Barnes & Thornburg here in Indianapolis. I'm very proud to have joined such a talented group of lawyers and appreciate how welcoming and supportive everyone has been.
What are you involved with outside of law?
I have young kids, so I spend a lot of time either hanging out with them or ferrying between various soccer games, track practices, and other extracurriculars. We also recently adopted a Pembroke Welsh corgi from a rescue organization (shout out to No Tails About It Corgi Rescue!) and love taking him to the park and on walks.
How do you like to unwind and relax?
I’m a big reader and, since my wife works in publishing, we have a steady supply of books in the house. I took up golf a few years ago and enjoy working on improving my (rather mediocre) game. Also, my father recently gifted me his turntable and collection of late-60s/early-70s vinyl, so I have been enjoying listening to Bob Dylan, The Band, John Mayall, Captain Beefheart, and lots of other great treasures.
