Member Spotlight: April Keaton

What is your practice area and passion in the legal field?
I am a government attorney. Recently, I joined the Office of Administrative Law Proceedings (OALP) as an Administrative Law Judge. Prior to joining OALP, I was a consumer protection attorney with the Indiana Attorney General's Office. 

What is your involvement with IndyBar?
I have been an IndyBar member since law school. I am a member of the executive committees for the Young Lawyers Division and Government Practice Section. I am also an alum of Class XX of the Bar Leader Series. 

What is something you’re recently proud of?
I am proud when I see the accomplishments of aspiring attorneys whom I mentor. I truly enjoy celebrating their accomplishments. I am grateful to be a part of their journeys. 

What are you involved with outside of law?
Outside of law, I am a  group exercise instructor. I teach yoga, cycling, and strength training. 

How do you like to unwind and relax?
I really enjoy watching TV shows from the 80s and 90s. Right now, I am watching Murder She Wrote with the late Angela Lansbury.
