What is your practice area and passion in the legal field?
My practice covers a wide range of commercial issues, toxic tort/ product liability, and personal injury. The variety in my practice keeps me very happy because no two days are alike! Learning about each of my clients’ businesses and how I can best advocate for them is my favorite part of the job.

What is your involvement with IndyBar?
I have been a member of IndyBar since I started practicing. Having gone to law school outside of the state, when I started, I was worried I wouldn’t fit into the legal community here. Thanks in large part to the IndyBar community, that has not been my experience at all. A couple of years ago I also participated in the IndyBar leadership series, through which I made lifelong friends and professional connections, and learned a lot about what it means to be a leader in the community.

What is something you're recently proud of?
Professionally? Over the last year, I have been part of teams that have tried three cases, obtaining victories for our clients in all three. I am especially proud that I had the opportunity to first chair one of those victories.

Personally? I’m really proud of my culture and where I come from. I’ve had the privilege of growing up in two places: Mexico and the United States. I see both as home and am really proud of the fact that I have kept my roots while becoming my own person across cultures, making both my own.

What is your involvement outside of law?
I am involved with two wonderful organizations, Happy Hollow Children’s Camp, and Kids Voice of Indiana. But organizations help children in our community in different ways, and I’m proud and grateful to know the good folks that work at both places.

How do you like to unwind and relax?
I love spending time with friends and family. I enjoy the outdoors and love running and hiking.
