Breakfast with the Bar: Tax Law Recap

On November 2nd, the Indianapolis Bar Association held its monthly Breakfast with the Bar event with an emphasis on Tax Law. The participating attorneys shared their experiences in both the public and private sectors. The attorneys were a diverse group, who worked in many areas of the Tax field ranging from state & local tax to international Tax. The participating attorneys included: Delainey Deitch, Ernst & Young; Zia Mollabashy, Anderson; Henry Robinson, Internal Revenue Service; Alex Szarenski, Katz Sapper & Miller; Ronald Morelock, Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson, & Feary; Robert Rowlett, Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson, & Feary; Chris Russell, Indiana Department of Revenue; Kelly Kelly, Indiana Department of Revenue; and Collin Davis, Indiana Department of Revenue. 

The attorneys discussed the numerous benefits of a career in Tax law including opportunities for a deeper level of specialization, the dynamic nature of Tax, and the plethora of employment opportunities. The attorneys also shared their internship experiences from their time in law school as well information for current internship opportunities with the students in attendance. Overall, the event was a success and provided a valuable experience for interested students.
