It goes without saying that this spring has unfolded differently than any of us would have expected just a couple months ago. We’ve all had to quickly adapt to a new world, and the Indianapolis Bar Association is no exception.

Since closing IndyBarHQ on March 13 (just one week after opening our brand new space up to members), the association’s leaders and staff have been working tirelessly to provide information, resources and services to help our members and our community during this challenging time. In just four weeks, we’ve hosted 20 live update webinars, compiled countless resources on our website, pivoted our legal advice programs to a chat-based online service and made available more than $35,000 in grants to our members to help local families in need. And that’s not even everything.

We wanted to take a moment to thank you for supporting the IndyBar through your membership. Leadership is working to be proactive as the IndyBar reacts to economic changes like every other business and non-profit entity in the city, but we need to continue building support for our membership, programs and services so that we remain strong and stable.

You can help. If you’ve found your IndyBar membership to be beneficial to you during this time, encourage a non-member colleague to check us out (we’ve got pro-rated membership, monthly billing and free referral program trials available—contact Natalie Cox at ncox@indybar.org to learn more!). Tell someone about programs and services that you’ve enjoyed. Follow our social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Vimeo), and share content that’s meaningful to you.

Since 1878, the IndyBar has weathered wars, depressions, recessions, and countless changes to the world and has come out on top. We know that this challenge is no exception.

If there is anything that the IndyBar can be doing to assist you, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to be your partner in your practice, today and in the future.

Sincerely,

Andy Campbell, 2020 Indianapolis Bar Association President
