The purpose of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) section is to promote the use of alternative methods of dispute resolution such as mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation, mini-trials, summary jury trials and private judging. While recognizing the importance of trials, the section works to further educate both the bar and the public about alternative dispute resolution.

A Message from the Section Chair
"Welcome to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. My name is Pat McCrory, a registered mediator and this year's Chair of the ADR Section.
We're scheduling quite a few seminars this year, and we're hoping to cover topics including domestic relations; wills, trusts and estates as well as civil mediations. We are also planning to participate in Mediation Week with Mediation Days scheduled in the Spring and Fall. As always, we're looking for volunteers for those events, so keep an eye on the ADR page on the IndyBar website for updates. Also, be sure to check out ADR news on our section's blog for "best practices" and other relevant information. If you would like to be involved in our leadership team, please contact me! The Executive Committee meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the IndyBar offices.
We won't be all work in 2017. We will be planning a social for our members as well as participating in traditional IndyBar events such as the Bench Bar Conference, and teaming up with other sections.
Come join us! Keep up to date with your CLE and CME and get to know other mediators by participating in all of our section events. We promise you will enjoy the experience!"
