Continuing Legal Education

There is a lot in the courthouse that we might not be able to do for a while, so we asked two U.S. District Court judges to join us and provide tips and best practices for remote civil proceedings. This program addresses questions like, "What would the court like practitioners to know?" The judges will also address some rules of civil procedure explicitly permit remote proceedings, such as depositions. Is the court encouraging parties to proceed where they can? Has the court had to intervene in cases where one party wants to proceed remotely while another wants to wait until proceedings can resume in person? What about technology—is the court using videoconferencing on its own initiative or by request? Tune in for answers to these questions and more!

NOTE: Once you review the program in its entirety, the IndyBar will report all credits earned within 10 days of completion directly to the Indiana Commission for Continuing Legal Education.

NOTE: Posting by the Indiana CLE Commission of the credit to your CLE transcript may take 30 days. Additionally, there are codes provided to the live audience during this webinar to verify attendance.  Those viewing this recording do not need to report those codes.

Featuring
Hon. Debra McVicker Lynch and Hon. James R. Sweeney II, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana
