Continuing Legal Education
As more judges and practitioners use tablets and e-readers to do their work, it becomes more and more incumbent on writers to consider how their briefs look. A writer’s careful attention to certain style choices can go a long way toward improving a reader’s ability to digest a brief’s content and understand its most important points.
This aspect of law practice has been a focus for this program’s two presenters. In particular, Indiana Supreme Court Justice Geoffrey Slaughter can provide important insight on this topic and can explain what techniques make a brief the most reader-friendly and impactful. No matter your level of substantive writing skill, this program offers something new to consider and incorporate into your practice.
Speaker
Hon. Geoffrey G. Slaughter, Indiana Supreme Court; Christopher J. Bayh, Barnes & Thornburg LLP
