Continuing Legal Education

The course first reminds and instruct Attorneys on their ethical duties to perform pro bono work.  The next part of the instruction is on the ways in which the Rules affect pro bono work to help remove perceived barriers to doing pro bono work such as the modified conflict rule in Rule 6.5 and the use of limited appearances.  Finally, there is instruction in how the Rules on such things as Communication and Confidentiality may play out differently with low-income clients who may move frequently, have turbulent family situations, and no access to private email.  A question and answer period follows including a brief description of the various IndyBar pro bono initiatives.
