Jessie Meek grew up in Indianapolis and attended North Central High School. She graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio (about 45 minutes from Columbus) and majored in political science. The summer before law school, Jessie worked for the Hollis Adams Foundation, which provides day programs for adults with developmental disabilities in central Indiana. This past year, Jessie served on the Best Buddies Friendship Walk Committee. Best Buddies pairs individuals with and without disabilities in one-to-one friendships with the goal of fostering inclusion for all people, regardless of ability. She looks forward to serving as a speech coach at the Best Buddies Conference in July.
Jessie graduated from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2017. She is an associate in Bingham Greenebaum Doll’s Indianapolis office, where she assists businesses, governmental organizations and individuals in a variety of civil disputes—including claims of defamation, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. She was named a 2019 Up & Coming Lawyer by the Indiana Lawyer.
Since graduating from law school, Jessie has been active in the IndyBar. She served on the 2018 YLD Social Committee and is presently the 2019 Communications Chair for the YLD Executive Committee. Jessie is thankful that IndyBar has connected her with colleagues and peers whom she may not have otherwise known. She had a great time at the 2019 Bench Bar Conference in French Lick.
Outside of the law, Jessie enjoys exploring Broad Ripple with her husband and trying out new restaurants. She recently took a watercolor class at the Indianapolis Art Center and looks forward to taking another.
