Amanda Gallagher is the Deputy General Counsel for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. In this role, she serves in a variety of capacities to support the IEDC’s mission of attracting and supporting new business investment and creating new jobs for Hoosiers. Prior to joining the IEDC, Amanda served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Complex Litigation Division of the Attorney General’s Office.
Originally from Oklahoma City, Amanda is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was recognized with the Gene H. & Jo Ann Sharpe Outstanding Graduating Student Award. Outside of work, Amanda coaches "We the People" at Cathedral High School and volunteers with the Junior League of Indianapolis and the United Way of Central Indiana.
As a Hoosier transplant, Amanda recommends the Young Lawyer Division as a great resource to any new practitioners looking to get more connected in our community or looking to sharpen their skills as an attorney. Amanda first joined the YLD in 2015 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to such an invaluable organization on the Executive Committee. One of Amanda’s favorite things about the YLD is all of the great opportunities to meet other young lawyers and network while also having a great time! Amanda is particularly excited about helping to plan the annual Scavenger Hunt, which helps introduce law students to Indianapolis and the Young Lawyers Division.
