The networking style of Millennials is much different than that of previous generations, according to this article. The article outlines several key differences in how Millennials network, such as: expressing passion for work is a positive and acceptable way to start a conversation; helping someone is not accompanied by an expectation of a favor in return; creating strong connection communities, many of which begin from events (such as those hosted by the YLD), is important; and developing connections via use of social media allows for close, lasting connections. The article is an interesting read and makes key points Millennials should consider when networking with fellow Millennials.
