By Jennifer Tudor Wright, Barnes & Thornburg LLP
I am an associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and am currently a member of the firm’s Litigation Department as well as the Drug and Medical Device, eDiscovery, Data and Document Management and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.
I have experience in a wide variety of commercial litigation, including products liability, medical device litigation, employment and contract disputes, school law, antitrust actions, creditor’s rights, premises liability and copyright and trademark infringement. I am most passionate about my products liability practice. I have worked on cases protecting manufacturers’ and sellers’ rights across multiple industries – from home appliances to recreational vehicles to medical devices – in state and federal courts throughout the United States, including multidistrict litigation.
I earned my J.D. cum laude from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. I received a B.A. with high distinction from Indiana University in Bloomington. I am a huge IU fan! I am always looking for opportunities to go back to Bloomington. My husband and I were recently married at the Indiana Memorial Union on IU’s campus.
When I am not in the office (or down in Bloomington), I tend to take part in all of the festivities that downtown Indianapolis has to offer – running on the Cultural Trial, tailgating for the Colts, concerts at White River State Park, attending shows at IRT, having brunch in Fountain Square and socializing on Mass Ave – especially for the IndyBar YLD events.
As co-chair of the YLD Social Committee, my introduction would not be complete without encouraging you to attend our upcoming events: March Madness at Brother’s Bar & Grill on March 19 (register here!) and “Buy a Young Lawyer a Beer” held after the Spring APC on April 23 (registration can be found here). In addition to our traditional events, YLD Social Committee Co-Chair Jennifer Strange and I, along with our committee members, have some new events in the works for 2015. As part of the IndyBar YLD’s Intro to Indy Series, we plan to increase the number of networking events with other young Indianapolis professionals. We also plan to frequently partner with other IndyBar sections.
Please continue to check out the Events and Education section of the IndyBar website for more details. I look forward to meeting you in person at one of our upcoming events!
