2016 has been full of old traditions and new adventures. We particularly loved hosting our new quarterly roundtable sessions this year, and the WLD looks forward to another exciting lineup in 2017. Our last event of the year was the holiday party for children living at Coburn Place Safe Haven. Coburn Place provides safe and supportive housing for families escaping domestic violence. With the help of WLD volunteers and philanthropy chair, Commissioner Therese Hannah, we brought holiday cheer to dozens of children on December 10. Thank you to all of the WLD subcommittee chairs for their diligent efforts in planning social, networking, CLE, and philanthropic activities. It was a wonderful year!
I’m excited to hand the baton to Sara McClammer. She will serve as the WLD chair in 2017 and has already started sketching out plans for next year! The first event of 2017 will be the Mentorship Program kickoff luncheon and will feature a mentorship recognition component. The date will be announced after the new year.
Happy Holidays & Warmest Wishes,
2016 WLD Chair
