The Women and Law Division’s Mentoring Program is gearing up for another great year! The WLD Mentoring Program is designed to be a fun way to interact with other professionals in the Indianapolis community while giving and receiving informal mentoring and advice. It’s perfect for busy lawyers who are looking for low-stress ways to get involved. Mentors and mentees are assigned to teams and asked to meet at least once each quarter. Your team can meet for a meal, a cocktail hour, a networking reception or anywhere else that the group wants (including by joining us for the WLD Mentoring Program Kickoff Luncheon on February 23).
Elizabeth Timme, a WLD Executive Committee and mentoring team member shared her experiences with the program:
It’s a great way to get to know people in the Indy legal community. Through the WLD Mentoring Program, I’ve expanded my network and gotten to know lots of other female attorneys working in the city who I never would have met otherwise. My team members have also been a great sounding board and source of feedback as I’ve navigated career questions and life changes. My team has met for casual monthly lunches for a few years now. It’s a small time commitment while still being a rewarding experience.
If you’re interested in signing up for the 2016 WLD Mentoring Program, please contact Roxana Bell at firstname.lastname@example.org for details. You can sign up for the kickoff luncheon here. Please note that there will be no onsite registration. Participating in the program is free for WLD members, and costs for attending the luncheon are available on the WLD website.
