Join Brent Auberry in a sixty minute dash through 2014 SALT developments in Indiana property, sales and use, income and other tax matters. The program will provide an overview of Tax Court decisions, Indiana Board of Tax Review rulings, Department of Revenue Letters of Finding and other administrative and legislative developments.

Brent Auberry is a partner with Faegre Baker Daniels LLP where he concentrates his practice in
state and local taxation. In more than a decade, he has represented property taxpayers across
Indiana in real property tax assessment appeals and economic development/abatement
matters involving oce buildings, apartments, manufacturing facilities and other commercial
and industrial properties, as well as riverboat casinos. Mr. Auberry has advised clients on
personal property tax matters and counseled taxpayers on property tax exemptions and tax
legislation. He has also represented taxpayers before the Indiana Department of Revenue and
Tax Court on sales and use, income, gaming and other taxes. He is the author and creator of
TaxHatchet.com, a blog exploring cutting edge developments on state and local tax (SALT). He
is Regional Editor for the American Bar Association's Property Tax Deskbook and co-author of its
Indiana Chapter. Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, Mr. Auberry served as judicial clerk to
the Honorable Thomas G. Fisher, Indiana Tax Court. He also held the position of adjunct professor of legal writing at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He earned his B.A. from the University of Southern Indiana and his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
