Attend the Indianapolis Bar Association’s upcoming CLE program, What State’s My Trust In? Can I Move It? Income Tax Situs of Trusts and Related Issues with guest speakers Mark A. Loyd and Bailey Roese of Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP. At this CLE, you’ll learn about the rules that govern the situs of a trust for income tax purposes in Indiana and surrounding states, which explains the residency or non-residency of a trust in a certain state. Attendees will discover how a trust can change its residence from one state to another and get an update on how the Net Investment Income Tax comes into play. This program will provide in-depth information on trust administration issues from a unique perspective.
The seminar will be held Wednesday, November 18 from 4 to 5 p.m., to be followed by a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. The reception will include light appetizers and tastings from Bier Brewery and will be held at the IndyBar Education Center (135 N. Pennsylvania St., Suite 1500) immediately following the CLE.
