Tax Section Members: This has been a busy season for many taxpayers and advisors as we have approached the April 15 deadline. The same is true for the Tax Section Executive Committee, which has also been working hard to develop the Tax Section CLE programs for 2015. In addition to the CLE programs that the Tax Section will sponsor, a couple of upcoming IndyBar CLEs that may be of interest to tax professionals are Exit Planning: A Collaborative Approach CLE & Networking Reception on April 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Advanced Consumer Bankruptcy Roundtable on April 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bankruptcy roundtable is sold out, but you can sign up for the waitlist.
Please remember that the Tax Section’s homepage contains the latest updates and news for the section as well as updates for the tax practice area. Section members are welcome to post or write articles for the Tax Section homepage. Please contact Rachel Beachy if you are interested in contributing.
Finally, I want to invite all Tax Section members to the Bench Bar Conference this summer. This year the conference will be held in Louisville, KY from June 18-20. The IndyBar is providing over 15 scholarships for the cost of the Bench Bar Conference, so I hope to see you there.
As always, if you have ideas, questions or concerns about the Tax Section, feel free to email me or another executive committee member. We welcome your involvement and look forward to what’s to come this year!
