A brother's NFL career that ended in 2008 may not be enough to prove conflict of interest in a case, but could his potential interest in a return to NFL coaching be? This post explores the potential conflict of interest in a New Jersey sports betting case because the judge is the older brother of former NFL running back Marcel Shipp. It has many wondering if, on appeal, New Jersey will challenge Judge Shipp's ruling (which favors the NFL and other leagues) because of his brother's career.
