I hope that this summer finds you all far enough ahead that you’re able to take some time to enjoy the “lazy days of summer." I suspect, however, that most of you are still burning the midnight oil just like me.
I want to take a quick second to let you know that while the days may be lazy, the IndyBar Solo/Small Firm Committee has not been. We have some events coming up that I am particularly excited about! We are nailing down the final details for the upcoming Family Fun Day at Eagle Creek Park. Register here if you haven't done so already! It promises to be an afternoon of relaxation with solo and small firm practitioners that will re-charge our members AND their families. We've also got a program on the calendar for August 10 (co-sponsored by our friends in the Criminal Justice Section) covering basics of OWI blood draw cases. You can register for that here. We are planning to partner with IndyBar sections to bring you an Appellate Law Primer CLE as well as a CLE on cybersecurity and ransomware to assist you in protecting your firms and your information. Last but certainly not least, we've got the ball rolling for our annual Survive & Thrive all-day CLE event. Mark your calendar now for October 20 for the can't-miss programming, including local judicial officers actually demonstrating the “how to’s” of courtroom practice.
The year may be more than half way over but we are certainly not slowing down. We hope you will join us for some if not all the events coming up! We’re always looking for feedback and ideas as to how IndyBar can better serve its members, so if you have any ideas please send me a note!
