Greetings from…wait for it…my home. Still.
Confession: I have struggled, on the daily, to adjust to this new normal. On the good days, I have billed some, returned some calls, done about a thousand Zoom meetings and painted 13 doors. On the bad days, I have lain down in the middle of my office floor and stared at the ceiling. It isn’t a pretty picture but it is an accurate reflection of the swing of emotions and functionality. I know I’m not the only one.
A good friend sent me a link to this article from Harvard Business Review: That Discomfort You’re Feeling is Grief. The article references the idea that if we can name what we are feeling we can deal with it. At this point, honestly, I’ll try anything that might work. If any of you are feeling similarly, then this article may be helpful.
I hope to see you in person again soon. Seriously, I mean it.
