Solo Small Firm Practice News

The Lawyerist recently published a blog post about the 2016 Legal Trends Report compiled by Clio Law Office Management. While a bit of a hefty read filled with charts and numbers, the meat of it provides some really interesting information regarding average billable rates by state for practice areas and styles. It also provides some decent data about trends in volume by season. As small business owners and practitioners it can be extremely difficult to find the time to both practice law and track business trends, guestimate if your billable rate is normal, and try to determine if and when to hire help. This report may help provide some answers to some of those questions in a tight little package.
