The IndyBar Real Estate and Land Use Section is happy to honor Phil Bayt as the 2019 recipient of the Zeff Weiss Award for Excellence in Real Estate.

Bayt has spent 40 years as a real estate attorney and helped to shape the Indianapolis skyline, having represented developers and property owners on hundreds of projects. He's been involved in the redevelopment of Banker's Life Fieldhouse, the development of the Conrad hotel and the development of Market Tower. He's also the former cheif managing partner of Ice Miller LLP.

"The dedication, creativity, and thoughtfulness that Phil brings to his work have earned him a reputation as one of Indiana's 'go-to' real estate attorneys for complex transactions," his nominator, Jason McNiel, states.

"Phil is one of the most trustworthy lawyers with whom we have worked. He is masterful in all aspects of real estate law and consistently delivers the highest quality guidance to his clients and peers. As he moves towards retirement, he leaves behind generations of lawyers who have been beneficiaries of his mentorship and kindness."

Join us to honor Bayt at the section's holiday party on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Tap. Details and online registration can be found here.
