How is it possible that we have already reached the end of the 2nd quarter of 2017? This year is nearly half over and we will soon be thinking about holidays. Yikes! Before that happens, there are still a lot of good things going on with the IndyBar Paralegal Committee.
On June 14, we held a Meeting of Members and had a wonderful time networking and talking about the exciting things on tap for the Paralegal Committee. Look for Lottie Wathen’s article about the meeting further along in this edition of the newsletter.
At our next event on July 12, Jodie Bergeron will be the paralegal coordinator for an Ethics CLE on marketing yourself as an attorney or professional in general. Get more information on this program and register for it here.
We are reaching out to some local charity organizations to see if we can assist them in making a difference in our community. We hope to be able to have a day to volunteer at a food bank, homeless shelter or some other location in need of volunteers. Stay tuned to find out when and where you can help!
I hope you've all begun collecting your stuffed animals for the annual Holiday Luncheon. It will be held on December 7, 2017. Watch for updates on the IndyBar website for registration details.
As always, we would love to have your input on what we do so if you have any suggestions for CLE topics, social events, or a community service event, please let me know.
