There are a LOT of roles a paralegal can play other than in a traditional law firm setting. For Eunice Spells, her days are not always filled with litigants, courtrooms or deposition transcripts…especially not in the month of May! Straight from her non-traditional paralegal mouth, here is Eunice’s take on Indy in May!

Well it’s the Month of May in Indianapolis, which means that it’s my busiest time of the year! As a non-traditional paralegal it’s as if my trial date is The Indianapolis 500 race event every year. It feels as if I am involved in responding to multiple sets of discovery, two weeks of mediations back to back all while summarizing medical records and smiling because I’m excited about the big race at the same time. While I do miss practicing all of the aspects of litigation, I must admit there is no feeling like winning the race after we have worked so hard all year long!

Wishing my Team Andretti much success on May 28! See you on the bricks!
