Thanks to the help of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, the IndyBar Legislative Committee is currently monitoring select litigation-related legislation, and you can view the report here. Check out additional legislative updates below.

In addition to the full list of legislation in the report above, the IndyBar Legislative Committee is closely monitoring the progress of SJR16 for Litigation Section members. IndyBar leadership will continue to share information and updates regarding this specific piece of legislation.

It was a quiet week last week at the Statehouse due to Governor Holcomb’s closure of the government complex and the cancellation of all legislative activity. We expect to see far more movement on legislation next week as bills are heard in committee and on second reading. As of Friday morning, there are 34 committee meetings scheduled this week with more than 100 bills to be discussed.
