Litigation News

Posted on: Aug 2, 2017

Greetings! We’re well into the "dog days of summer." We’ve now completed the Litigation Section’s series of CLE seminars on bench trials. I hope you found them enjoyable and beneficial to your practice. If you missed any of the sessions, they're available in the IndyBar's Online CLE catalog. We still have additional CLE planned for later, so stay tuned for details on topics and speakers.

Tim Devereux, the Litigation Section's chair-elect, will be hosting a presentation on the Indiana Wrongful Death Act, with Robert Johnson of Johnson Jensen and Tom Jarzyniecki of Kightlinger & Gray as our speakers. This is ont the calendar for October 17, so register here! Next, we're lining up our judges for the annual and favored Judicial Roundtable, which will be followed by a cocktail reception. We’ve scheduled this for November 30 to avoid the crunch of pre-Thanksgiving business that many attorneys and judges experience, while still avoiding the holiday parties that make up the month of December. Keep an eye on IndyBar communications and the events calendar in the coming weeks for more details!

Finally, we are working on obtaining a national speaker for a program later this year - I won't give too much away, but you don't want to miss it! In the meantime, if you have comments, questions, suggestions or concerns about the Litigation Section, please direct them to me or any member of the executive committee.
