Litigation News

The Litigation Section is excited to announce a new project that will provide additional information to litigants in Marion County about practicing before each of our Superior and Circuit Court judges. We are in the process of developing a survey that each of the judges will be asked to complete regarding both substantive and practical information about their specific courtroom procedures and processes. Those responses will be published online and made available as a resource for litigants.

The Litigation Section also recently issued a “challenge” to other IndyBar sections and divisions and offered to match any other section/division’s donation to the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) for up to $2,000. Many sections/divisions met that challenge and we collectively donated nearly $9,000 to the IBF.

We are also in the process of selecting this year's recipient(s) of our annual scholarship(s) for IndyBar members who wish to attend the Bench Bar Conference in June but may not otherwise be able to attend. We know that many members of the Litigation Section plan to attend Bench Bar this year. #WillYouBeThere?
