Keep up with the committee: follow along with our "How I Spent My Summer" series to see how the Law Student Division Executive Committee members spent their summer!
This past summer, I worked as a faculty research assistant for Professor Deborah McGregor at IU McKinney. I had the opportunity to perform extensive legal research on a book being written by Professor McGregor related to the interplay among the legislature, the judiciary, and administrative agencies. Specifically, I focused my research on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill including agency involvement in the cleanup, legal ramifications, and legislative initiatives proposed as a result of the spill. In addition to assisting Professor McGregor, I was able to travel with my family to places such as Key West, New York City, Nashville, and Chicago, to name a few. I had a remarkable summer filled with exciting experiences, invigorating research, and invaluable time with family.
