Keep up with the committee: follow along with our "How I Spent My Summer" series to see how the Law Student Division Executive Committee members spent their summer!

This summer, I worked as a summer associate at a firm in Kansas City, MO. It was an amazing experience both professionally and personally. I worked on about thirty assignments from different practice groups which helped me narrow down what I want to do after graduation. I met some awesome mentors and great attorneys whom I look forward to working with in the near future. I was also able to experience the city such as going to a Kansas City Royals game, cooking out at a local culinary center, participating in local bar association events, and many more. As a foodie, I was excited to visit over forty different restaurants and to experience true Kansas City barbecue. If you ask me for top three barbecue places in KC, I highly recommend Joe’s, Q39, and Jack Stack. I strongly believe what I learned in the Indianapolis legal community while serving on the IndyBar Law Student Division Executive Board definitely helped me get closer to my dream job, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be great foundation for my future career.
